Zuari View is located at Dona Paula in Goa, a palm-fringed headland between the mouths of the Rivers Mandovi and Zuari Rivers. Situated in a lively, upmarket area, close-by to Dona Paula Jetty, it occupies an elevated position with views over the Zuari River, Mormugao Harbour and Arabian Sea, and nestles comfortably with the traditional fishing village below and the friendly and bustling community which revolves around the Jetty. The property comprises a luxury 3 double-bedroomed villa, the Bungalow, a luxury self-contained suite, the Suite, and the adjacent 4 roomed guest house.. Constructed over 4 floors with 2 roof terraces, there are panoramic, sunrise to sunset views over the water. On the lower ground floor of The Bungalow is our self-contained suite and this may be entered via the adjoining guest house and/or the Bungalow and this affords flexible accommodation, to suit different party sizes. Note: Bookings for Bungalow is minimum 6 nights Bookings for Suite is minimum 3 nights Both the The Bungalow and The Guest House are situated on the edge of a cliff and there is no rear garden. The roof terrace is some 22 metres above ground level facing the bay and the open staircase rises 10 metres from the ground floor. This property may not be suitable for the disabled, and young children should be strictly supervised. The Bungalow Our Bungalow is hidden behind large, solid, teak-paneled doors that open to reveal an open Plan "U" shaped entrance hall, living area, dining area and kitchen, all furnished and equipped to the highest standards, opening onto a large balcony overlooking the bay. The well-equipped kitchen, has Italian marble work surfaces. All the furniture has been hand-made of teak by local carpenters. The sleeping accommodation is arranged over 3 floors and an open staircase leads to three bedrooms, all air conditioned with custom made furnishings and en-suite bathrooms. Two bedrooms are bayside (doubles, with balconies) and one is roadside (twin). Ceiling fans throughout. The roof terrace affords sunrise to sunset panoramic views over the sea. The living area is sumptuously furnished and air conditioned. There are no televisions in the Bungalow. Zuari View is staffed with a house manager, maids and a night watchman. Our Bungalow rates include the services of a driver, and 9 seater vehicle which is available from 0900 to 1800 for the full days of of residence ( ie excepting arrival and departure days), and subject to a mileage restriction of 80 km per day. Long distance trips and out of hours use are by arrangement with the house manager. Laundry and ironing of personal items can be undertaken at guests risk and at nominal cost The Suite The Suite consists of a large "U" shaped living and sleeping area with en-suite bathroom, tastefully furnished and equipped with a huge bed, ceiling fans, air conditioning and cable TV. There is large covered terrace with views over the bay. Breakfast and light meals may be ordered from the Guesthouse next door, and the open air kitchen may be used by guests with the managers permission. The Suite is available during the monsoon season when it has proved to be a popular honeymoon venue. Guest House Our guest house accommodation is aimed at the independent traveller with a mid range budget, and comprises 4 double rooms all with ensuite bathrooms, cable TV, fridge and air conditioning. Bayside rooms all have balconies and outstanding views over Dona Paula Bay. Guests are well looked after by our courteous and attentive staff and all of the accommodation is maintained and cleaned to a good western standard. Zuari View is located on a peninsular, and as such there are 2 good bathing beaches within a few minutes walk of our guest house. There is a water sport beach at Dona Paula Jetty which is 300m down the road and the world famous Miramar Beach starts around 1km away and runs several kilometers toward Panaji. The 5 star hotel Cidade de Goa at Vainguinim Beach is 5 minutes away by car and guests may use all facilities and the hotel by arrangement with the leisure manager. Hotel Prainha, (1 minute walk), has a nice pool area and beach and our guests may use them for a small charge. Goa University is a few minutes drive as is Manipal Private Hospital. The Governors residence (Raj Bhavan) is located nearby on the headland at Dona Paula, next to the Napoleonic British Cemetery. Supermarkets, a liquor store, pharmacy and broadband internet cafe are all very close by. There are several good, cheap restaurants in and around the jetty and beachfront areas(some have a delivery service). The State bank of India is directly opposite, and other ATMs are nearby. Panaji has a great fish/veg and flower market daily. Dabolim Airport is 32 kilometers away and approximately driving time is 40 minutes by car. Karmali Railway Station (Old Goa) is 25 minutes away and Margao Railway Station is a 45 minutes drive. Indias most charming state capital Panaji (Panjim), is 8 km from Dona Paula and Zuari View. Situated on the south bank of the Mandovi, Panjim ("The Land that does not Flood") dates from the early sixteenth century. It became the capital city in 1843 (which moved from Old Goa) and much of the early Portuguese architecture is remarkably well preserved and the place has a wonderful atmosphere. Although now home to the International Film Festival of India, it is often by-passed by visitors en-route to the tourist resorts of North Goa-Calangute, Baga, Candolim and Anjuna which are around 30 to 40 minutes away.
